Commission-Only Independent Agents
DJ's Freight Broker LLC recruits independent contractor freight broker agents — not employees. You work under the company's FMCSA broker authority, use the company's systems and carrier network, and earn commission on the gross margin your loads generate. You are not guaranteed a salary, a lead list, or an easy ride.
This is a cold-call, relationship-building, grind-first business. If you need warm leads handed to you, this isn't the right fit. If you're willing to build a book, follow the company's quote approval process, and operate with integrity — there's real income potential here.
What You'll Actually Do Every Day
- Cold call shippers, manufacturers, construction companies, and commercial freight accounts
- Build shipper relationships and generate freight load opportunities
- Submit quote requests through the company's approval system
- No booking freight without admin-approved quotes — no exceptions
- Log calls, leads, and follow-ups in the company portal
- Coordinate with dispatch on carrier assignments and load execution
- Upload required documents (rate confirmations, BOL, POD) for every load
- No double brokering. No fake carrier or customer claims. Zero tolerance.
The Tools & Commission Structure
Work under DJ's FMCSA license (USDOT 4079462 | MC 1551655) from day one. No need to obtain or maintain your own authority.
Access to DJ's established carrier relationships and onboarding workflow. Spend your time selling, not vetting.
Starting at 60% of gross margin. Performance-based increases to 65% at $5,000/month consistent gross margin and 70% at $10,000/month, subject to performance and management approval.
Requirements & Expectations
- Experience in freight brokerage or logistics strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to cold call every day
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as a 1099 contractor
- Understanding of freight terminology: BOL, POD, rate confirmation, spot rate, FTL, LTL, flatbed, dry van, power-only
- Must follow company quote approval process on every load
- Must not double broker or misrepresent carrier credentials
- Professional communication with shippers and carriers
